JOB OPPORTUNITY WITH THE CITY OF MADRAS POLICE DEPARTMENT
AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER
The City of Madras Police Department is accepting applications for the position of Lateral Police Officer. Applicants must be no less than 21 years of age, have two (2) years of continuous service in another police agency as a sworn police officer for a recognized state, county or city (municipal) agency, or as sworn Indian Tribal Police and must have been employed there within the last six months, by the time of hire. The position also requires a high school diploma or equivalent (a two-year degree or vocational training in criminal justice, police science or related field is desirable), the successful completion of a public safety, standards and training academy (DPSST) within the probationary period of employment. Successful candidates will have no disqualifying criminal history within the past seven years or any felony convictions and must complete a background investigation. Bilingual in Spanish is desired.
The annual salary range is $52,716 to $67,919 with an excellent benefit package.
